On the one hand, companies are dealing with a shortage of professionals, since regardless of whether they are in the technology segment or not, any company demands IT professionals. On the other hand, it is said that there is a low supply of professionals and qualified personnel. But what has actually motivated this Professional Bubble? Why is it increasingly difficult to find technology professionals in the market? We hear about the lack of IT professionals. So much so that the Association of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Digital Technologies Companies ( Brasscom ) declared that Brazil has a great challenge ahead: “It is estimated that technology companies will require 797,000 talents [by] 2025. However, with the number of graduates falling short of demand, the projection is for an annual deficit of 106,000 talents – 530,000 in five years.
In other words, “These are numbers that reflect the accelerated growth of the ICT sector, and make clear the urgent need for professional training to also be expanded at the same pace.” Apparently, it is not essentially a question of salary, it is about the dynamism of the market versus the availability of qualified labor. There is a relationship between the shortage of professionals and the speed at which things are happening, the demands Email Marketing to Physicians that are increasing and turnover due to experience, maturity and technical quality. Furthermore, there is also another issue that is currently quite debatable: diversity, the construction of an inclusive and fair society. Bruna Maia, global UX Research leader at Gympass says that there are not many vacancies for people with little experience. “The rush of the market is not compatible with the time it takes to train people skilled in technology.
He emphasizes that: “Some areas, such as software engineering, still have the privilege of having a more recognized and structured learning path, and yet there is a lack of skilled labor given the size of the demand. In newer areas, where the formation is being done in a 'freer' way, the hole is even lower.” And he adds: “Diversity is also taken into account, “always looking to bring in women and other underrepresented groups, because responsible and unbiased UX Research is only possible with diversity.” Alessandra Miliatti , digital learning manager at the Raia Drogasil group, also associates this bubble with the fact that “hiring for standard talent is the formation of a slightly different scenario in the sector”. And he emphasizes that “Today, 37% of those who work in technology are white or Asian men, compared to just 11% of black or indigenous women, according to a 2022 report by Pretalab. _________________ Job Function Database |
